Course Objectives

Upon the successful completion of this online training course, the participant(s) will be able to:

• Be aware with the whole drilling operations briefly, well profiles & all used related services in drilling a well.
• Be aware with the drilling bits, hydraulics & vibrations calculations based on the available well drilling programs details.
• Be aware with the design & preparing of the DRLG Bits program (technically & commercially) while drilling the whole well sections specially the problematic & spick formations.
• Be aware with how to prevent the complications, low ROP, bits failures, long OH exposure time, lost nozzles, lost cones, wash out, twist off, cutter damage, over torque …..
• Be aware with all (PDC & Rock) Bits properties, advantages, disadvantages, main differences ……
• Be aware with all hydraulics calculations (FR, HSI, AV …….).
• Be aware with the successful drilling practices by applying the right optimum drilling parameters while drilling different hole sizes in a different formation such as sand, abrasive sand, dolomitic L.ST., Shale ……
• Be aware all DHT’s (Down Hole Tools) functions, positions in both (Vertical & Directional) BHA’s, failures analysis …..
• Be aware with all jar types, placement in different BHA’s, different related problems & failures …….
• Be aware with all BHA’s inspections checks, P/U, M/U & RIH procedures.
• Be aware with all torque & drag calculations & problems.
• Be aware with all CH Side Tracks, Whip Stock BHA Design, Milling & Smoothing CSG Window Procedures.
• Be aware with all Neutral Point, WOB & WBJ Calculations & Constrains.
• Be aware with the PPL Sub design, types, needs in BHA …..
• Have a general brief idea about the directional drilling tools, BHA’s, practices ….
